The five-year contract includes options to purchase up to 126 40-foot and up to 15 60-foot battery electric buses, and up to 427 chargers (197 depot plug-in chargers, 197 depot overhead chargers and 33 road loaders).
This purchase is one of the largest orders for battery-powered electric buses in North American history and the largest ever in the United States.
CapMetro is Austin’s transit provider, providing more than 20 million trips annually through bus, paratransit and commuter train services.
