Public transport resumes on Saturday

Transit officials announced Friday that after evaluating streets and general conditions, Danville Mass Transit will resume all regular services on Saturday.

Also from Saturday until Saturday February 12, all DMT buses will be free. This includes all routes.

Officials said they appreciate everyone’s patience as they work through issues related to the winter storm.

Public works committee meeting

The Town of Danville Public Works Committee will meet by teleconference on Tuesday, February 8.

The meeting will start at 6 p.m.

Items on the agenda include reports on community relations, transit, budget and a bid for the installation of a refurbished transit motor.

The committee will also be asked to approve a resolution setting the 2022 fee schedule for Harrison Park Golf Course.

Vermilion County meetings postponed

The following meetings for Vermilion County have been rescheduled as follows:

Finance Committee meeting — rescheduled to Monday, February 14 at 5:00 p.m.

Transport Committee meeting – rescheduled to Tuesday February 15 at 5:30 p.m. (before County Council meeting at 6 p.m.).

Vermilion County Council meeting – rescheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. (after transportation committee meeting).

All meetings will be held at the Vermilion County Administration Building, 201 N Vermilion Street, Second Floor, Danville
