Commuter alert: Reported delays on MTA express buses

STATEN ISLAND, NY – Some trips for MTA express buses have been canceled for the Monday morning rush hour.

The scheduled 07:16 SIM4 trip from Drumgoole Road West to Annadale Road will not operate.

The SIM6 7:06 am scheduled trip from Eltingville Transit Center will not operate.

Additional trips canceled include:

  • SIM8X trip at 6:25 a.m. from Marsh Avenue to Westport Street;
  • Scheduled SIM1 trip from Eltingville Transit Center at 6:16 a.m.
  • The SIM10 trip is due to depart at 5:58 a.m. from the Eltingville Transit Center
  • SIM31 bus ride at 5.45am from Eltingville Transit Center did not operate
  • The SIM5 trip which was scheduled to depart from the Eltingville transit center at 4:55 a.m. did not operate.
  • “We are running as many services as we can with the bus operators we have available,” according to a post from the MTA on Twitter.

“See when the next bus will arrive using http://bt.mta.info.”

The Staten Island ferry was in modified service from Sunday evening to Monday morning.

The reduced service began at 11 p.m., when boats departed on the hour from the St. George terminal and half an hour from the Whitehall terminal, according to the city’s Department of Transport. Service was expected to return to normal at 5 a.m.
