Indian Railways is in full swing to launch the high speed train on the Varanasi-Howrah route. The high speed train will pass through many towns in Bihar and Jharkhand. According to railway authorities, the high-speed train will connect five towns in Bihar. An official announcement is expected soon.
After the announcement of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed train project, the demand for the same in Bihar was increasing. The proposed Varanasi-Howrah high-speed rail corridor will run through the Varanasi-Patna-Bardhaman-Howrah route. It is expected that this corridor will pass through the towns of Buxar, Arrah, Patna, Bihar Sharif and Nawada of Bihar.
The study of the 760 km long Varanasi-Howrah high-speed rail corridor was initiated in October. An investigation was also carried out in the section of Dhanbad in Jharkhand.
The National High Speed ââRail Corporation Limited is planning the route for this upcoming project. The speed of the high-speed train will be 350 km / h, which will enable this long-distance journey to be completed in a few hours.
After the Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet train launched in 2017, people in Bihar were asking for a similar bullet train in their state. Now it looks like the high speed train demand for Bihar will soon be met.
Indian Railways is also planning to launch this high-speed train service in various cities across the country. The railway may also announce the high speed train from New Delhi to Patna in the near future.
