The high-speed train project, which will link Konya and Karaman provinces, will be inaugurated today by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Citizens wonder how much Konya-Karaman YHT tickets cost, which will make life easier for citizens living in the region. It is estimated that the prices of the YHT line tickets, which will reduce the 1 hour and 15 minute journey between Konya and Karaman to half an hour, will be competitive with the prices of the bus tickets. Konya-Karaman YHT ticket price clarity in the next kazanbut days is expected.
It was reported that with the implementation of the bullet train project, the distance between Konya and Karaman will decrease from 1 hour and 15 minutes to 35 minutes and a high speed train connection will be established between Marmara, the Central Anatolia and the Mediterranean regions. In the statement, it was pointed out that there are 102 vehicle underpasses, 21 vehicle overpasses and 20 pedestrian underpasses on the 15-kilometer Konya-Karaman high-speed train line.
Efforts to extend Turkey’s high-speed rail network to Erzincan in the east, Izmir in the west, Kapıkule in the northwest, Mersin and Adana in the south, and Gaziantep in the southeast continue.
While the high speed rail transport service under the name High Speed Train was provided directly by TCDD between 2009 and 2016, it started to be provided by TCDD Transportation from 2016.
