Isle of Wight ferry company announces new commercial director

He’s worked with trains and airplanes…now Phil Delaney is adding boats to his transportation portfolio.

Former professional rugby player Phil joined link of light as commercial director, following the retirement of Clive Tilley.

Previously, he was Commercial Director at Great Western Railway (GWR) and held leadership positions at flybe and Trainline.com.

Previously, Phil was a professional rugby player with Leicester Tigersplaying alongside some of the 2003 World Cup winners including skipper Martin Johnson, Neil Back, Martin Corry, Ben Kay, Lewis Moody, Dorian West and Julian White.

Phil said: “With holidays remaining very popular, the ferries are in a strong position to win more customers and I look forward to working with colleagues to further develop our business,” he said.
