The Town of Lompoc is soliciting ideas from community members on its plan to conduct grant-funded transportation studies and planning work along the North H Street (Hwy 1) and Ocean Avenue (Hwy 1) corridors ( highway 246).

The city’s planning division and partner agencies want to hear from the community on how best to implement these improvements.

Community members are invited to provide input through a community workshop for the planning of these multimodal improvements. The workshop is scheduled from 9 am to noon on Saturday, December 18 at the Lompoc Community Open Air Market, 200 blocks from W. Ocean Avenue. Participants are encouraged to visit the market kiosk at any time during these hours to offer their suggestions.

The Lompoc Multimodal Streetscape Improvements Project focuses on pedestrian and bicycle connections, as well as the design and beautification of the streetscape along the main transport corridors of Lompoc. The upgrades will address transit needs, address safety concerns, implement the city’s goal of “complete streets” and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
