The Fiesta Buzz is a free neighborhood circulator provided by the City of Mesa, connecting the Fiesta District, Asian District, and Mesa Riverview. The circulator travels the route in a north/south direction every 30 minutes. Travel time is approximately 25 minutes end to end.
The service will be available Monday to Friday from 5:30 a.m. to midnight and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
“The City of Mesa is pleased to bring the Valley Metro Neighborhood Circulator to the Fiesta BUZZ in West Mesa,” said District 3 Council Member Francisco Heredia. “Our transit plays a vital role in bringing people together from the entire valley to many destinations, and the Fiesta BUZZ will reinforce the unique organic growth of this region. »
This vehicle will circulate in the districts and the small streets and on the arteries. This route will also have “flag zones”, which are areas off arteries where passengers can signal the bus to stop, such as hailing a taxi.
The Fiesta Buzz will be free for all passengers. The vehicles will run on compressed natural gas, which produces fewer emissions than traditional gas or diesel buses, and are fully ADA accessible with space for wheelchairs and mobility devices.
“Creating attractive travel options to some of Mesa’s most popular destinations benefits the environment, local businesses and Mesa residents,” said Valley Metro CEO Jessica Mefford-Miller. “The Fiesta BUZZ is also attractive to riders making regional connections with light rail and other bus lines. Congratulations to Mesa and our frontline teams for making this new service a reality!
The route connects Mesa Riverview, the Asian Quarter and the Fiesta Quarter. It stops at central locations such as MCC, Banner Desert Hospital, Mekong Plaza and Sloan Park.
