Russia will continue to develop transport and logistics infrastructure and build ferries to Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands, Russian President Vladimir Putin said while participating via video conference in the Russian Federation’s national flag-hoisting ceremony. Russia on the Marshal Rokossovsky ferry, according to the official Kremlin website.

“No matter how hard and difficult it may be, we will continue to develop. We will improve transport and logistics infrastructure throughout the country and, of course, in the Baltic countries, in our Arctic territories and in the Russian Far East, including the construction of new modern ferries for Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands . I am certain that our companies, design and engineering offices will be able to fulfill these missions”, declared the president.

Flag raising ceremony for the LNG ro-ro ferry of the CNF19M project Marshal Rokossovsky, built at the Turkish shipyard Kuzey Star for FSUE Rosmorport, took place on March 4, 2022, in the port of Ust-Luga. Russian President Vladimir Putin participated in the ceremony by videoconference.
