Samish out of service; a handful of canceled May 20 cruises

Submitted by Washington State Ferries.

At 10:20 a.m. on Thursday, May 20, Vessel No. 3 Samish remained out of service due to mechanical problems. Technicians are currently on site for repairs. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

Booking rules have been relaxed for customers who no longer wish to travel today, and new bookings have also been blocked. Existing reservation holders will be charged on a first come, first served basis, and they are encouraged to arrive at the terminal early as there will be delays.

The following crossings are canceled:

• 9:05 am from Anacortes to Friday Harbor

• 11h00 from the port of Friday to Anacortes

• 12:35 from Anacortes to Lopez and the Orcs

• 2:20 p.m. Orcas in Anacortes

The safety of our customers and crews is WSF’s top priority. Remember that all customers traveling are required to wear a face mask inside the terminal, at the toll booth and on board the ferry. Please also consider limiting your trips to only the most essential trips as service continues to be limited by the pandemic.
