Sony Pictures today announced the high-speed action thriller starring Brad Pitt with Deadpool 2 director David Leitch moves from July 15 to July 29, taking the recently released date from Dwayne Johnson’s DC film black adam. Moving up High-speed trainthe old departure date of July 15 is Where the Crawdads sing, a mystery drama sony 3000 Pictures. Moving means High-speed train opens opposite Paramount’s animated action-comedy Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank (July 22) and Focus Features’ Revenge (July 22), distancing Disney-Marvel Thor: Love and Thunder (in theaters July 8).
High-speed train was set for April 8, when it would have opened opposite sonic the hedgehog 2before Sony pushes it in December to the summer movie season.
Sony describes the original cinematic event as a fun and wacky action-thriller from the director of Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde and Fast & Furious Gifts: Hobbs & Shaw. Oscar-winning Pitt stars as an eclectic and diverse cast of assassins – all with connected but conflicting goals – set against the backdrop of a nonstop journey through modern-day Japan.
High-speed train also stars Sandra Bullock (The lost city), Joey King (The kissing booth), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Sony Kraven the hunter), Brian Tyree Henry (Marvel’s Eternals), Andrew Koji (Fast & Furious 6), Hiroyuki Sanada (mortal combat), Michael Shannon (Steel man), and Benito A Martínez Ocasio/Bad Bunny (F9: the fast saga).
High-speed train hits theaters exclusively on July 29.
