START Bus announces Summer and Memorial Day schedule – Buckrail

JACKSON, Wyo. – This morning, START Bus announced that from Saturday May 29, 2021, the summer bus schedule will be in effect. This schedule will remain in effect until Saturday, September 25, 2021.

The services offered during this summer timetable will continue to partially implement the START Bus route plan. The notable changes in the summer service schedule are as follows:

Teton village service: local
The local Teton Village Service bus will run between Miller Park and Teton Village between 5:15 a.m. and 8:56 p.m., with the last trip departing Teton Village at 8:14 p.m.

The local Teton Village route will not serve the stops listed below on the morning outbound and PM outbound. Please refer to the START bus website for the exact times.

• Incoming AM – Mike Yokel Park, Redmond & Hansen, St. John’s Hospital, Pearl & Jean, and Pearl & Glenwood stops will not be served until 12:00 noon (12:00 p.m.).
• PM outbound – Antler Inn, Pearl & Jean, Broadway and Stormy Circle, Redmond & Hall and Mike Yokel Park stops will not be served in the afternoon (12 noon).

City shuttle
The city shuttle will begin at Miller Park starting at 6 a.m. and will run until 9:58 p.m., with the last trip leaving Miller Park at 9:20 p.m.

Circulator
The circulator service will operate a bus, departing three times an hour between 6:00 a.m. and 9:59 p.m., with the last trip leaving Miller Park at 9:40 p.m. The circulator’s route will serve Pioneer Homestead on Rancher Street just 11 minutes past the hour ( 6:11 am, 7:11 am, 8:11 am, etc.).

The other two trips per hour will allow deposit on request only. Passengers needing the Pioneer Homestead location should ask the bus operator to divert to Rancher Street to drop it off. Otherwise, the bus will continue on Redmond to complete the route.

Commuter
There will be no change to commuter services.

ADA
The ADA service will operate between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. Runners are asked to contact START Bus at (307) 413-4548 to plan a trip 24 hours in advance.

Memorial Day Service
START Bus will operate a regular Memorial Day shuttle service. Please refer to the START bus website for those precise moments.

Federal mask mandate
According to President Joe Biden’s Executive Order 13998 and the Transportation Security Administration’s Safety Directive, masks must be worn on all transit systems across the country to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. Face shields must be worn on all START buses, at all bus stops and shelters, and at any location where START tickets or passes are purchased or sold.

START Bus encourages residents and visitors to safely support traffic reduction this summer by using START Bus, on foot or by bicycle.

Passengers are urged to continue to practice social distancing when possible, using hand sanitizer when boarding and departing the bus, staying home when sick and wearing a mask.
