Ukrainian army destroys two Russian ammunition depots and crosses a ferry in the Kherson region

During the last day, the Ukrainian defenders eliminated 59 invaders, also destroying a significant amount of military equipment, as well as a ferry and two ammunition depots in the southern direction.

This is according to the operational command Southreports Ukrinform.

“The situation in the southern operational zone remains difficult but controlled by our defense forces. The enemy continues to concentrate its efforts on maintaining the acquired positions, actively carrying out aerial reconnaissance using unmanned aerial vehicles. Precision strikes from our units left two spies unmanned with no prospect of further use, destroying all photo and video data that had been collected,” the statement read.

According to the Ukrainian army, the enemy is trying to find ways to improve its supply by organizing pontoon crossings through the Dnipro and Inhulets. At the same time, the Russians inflict missiles, artillery and air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian troops and peaceful settlements.

Throughout the day, the aggressors carried out 30 airstrikes and one missile attack on the positions of the Ukrainian armed forces, also launching four R-27 missiles at our planes which were attacking the enemy.

“Our aircraft inflicted six strikes, while our missile and artillery units – 265, in particular on MLR systems, weapon and equipment clusters, and pontoon crossings in the Nova Kakhovka area. The bridges remain under our strict fire control without the possibility of their repair and use,” OC South stressed.

Enemy casualties over the past day include: 59 troops, three Uragan MLR systems plus a transport loader, two Pion self-propelled artillery guns, one Msta-S self-propelled howitzer, three self-propelled artillery and mortar units , one T-72 main battle tank and six armored fighting vehicles. Two ammunition depots in the Beryslav district and a ferry crossing at Nova Kakhovka were also destroyed.

“The group of enemy forces in the Black Sea currently consists of 19 warships and cutters, including three surface-to-surface missile carriers equipped with 24 Kalibr missiles.” Therefore, the threat of a missile strike prevails, remaining quite likely,” the command added.

As noted, the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated nearly 51,250 Russian invaders from February 24 to September 8.
